During the course, participants will gain an understanding of the legislative and company requirements, recognize hazards and gases, understand pre-entry requirements, follow safe working codes of practice, be certified as an authorized gas tester for confined spaces, and conduct effective gas testing.
This course is taught by highly experienced instructors, & the trainees will learn:
- When gas testing is required,
- How to conduct gas testing,
- How to determine if the atmosphere is safe to work in.
Our training course for gas testing is designed for workers who may need to undertake monitoring potentially hazardous atmospheres in the workplace. Potentially hazardous atmospheres may require atmospheric testing in the following areas:
• Confined spaces,
• Hazardous material storage areas,
• Restricted spaces,
• Areas that contain dangerous goods
Theory session: Will be conducted in a classroom using a laptop, projector, screen, whiteboard, and other relevant props.
Practical Session: Demonstration of pre-usage inspection and operation of portable gas detection equipment by the trainer and the trainee repeating the exercise.
Prerequisites: The candidate shall be physically able to carry out procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend all the sessions to be eligible for assessment. Client Specific may request Basic First Aid. Course Duration: 4 Hours
