Moving vehicles and machinery can cause property damage, serious injury, or death in the workplace. Many incidents can be prevented through suitable traffic layouts, speed controls, separation of people and vehicles, and the correct use of trained flagmen.
This course provides the knowledge required to perform flagman duties safely where vehicles, machinery, and personnel operate in proximity.
Course Objectives
On completion of the training, participants should be able to:
Perform flagman duties safely.
Explain the role and responsibilities of a flagman.
Identify hazards associated with moving vehicles and machinery.
Control vehicle and machinery movements.
Use appropriate communication methods and signals.
