Overview

This qualification provides a broad understanding of accepted principles and recognised industrial practices for managing process risk.

Learners develop the knowledge needed to recognise process-safety hazards and contribute to effective control arrangements in high-hazard industries.

Target Audience

Managers, supervisors, safety representatives, and health and safety advisers working in process industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, plastics, and pharmaceuticals. It is not intended for experienced chemical or process-safety engineers.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirement is stated. Prior health and safety knowledge, such as a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, is recommended. Learners need a suitable standard of English.
